Anitha Guha’s recent Bharatanatyam production, Praise of the Seven Hills, pays tribute to Lord Venkateshwara and showcases her exceptional skill and knowledge. Rarely does a themed Bharatanatyam performance evoke such admiration, but Anitha's seamless integration of devotional shlokas and compositions by Sri Muralidhara Swamigal brought the piece to life. With a cast of 32 students, she expertly layered musical inputs and jathis, maintaining an engaging pace while crafting a dynamic Bharatanatyam-theatre show that celebrated both the richness of the lyrics and the beauty of the melody.
